Team Bushcraft Experience
The past year has been an incredibly busy one for the team, so it felt the right time to step away from our desks and spend a day outdoors together. Complete with both sunshine and the occasional shower, we headed to some Hampshire woodlands in early September and took part in a Bushcraft experience led by our expert instructors, Craig and John from Wildway Bushcraft.
The day began with carving and knife skills, where we teamed up to make our own hazel pot holders. From there, we turned our hands to useful knots and shelter building before pausing for a well-earned lunch break around the campfire. Refuelled, we moved on to fire lighting, foraging, and rope making. Each activity brought its own challenges but also a lot of laughter.
As a largely remote team, and with two new colleagues having joined recently, it was a great opportunity to connect, mingle, and learn new skills together. The day wasn’t just about learning practical skills; it was also about enjoying time together away from the office and appreciating the value of teamwork in a completely different setting.
All in all, it was a fun and rewarding day that left us with new skills, plenty of good memories, and some great photos of us working side by side in the woods.
